Salman Khan house firing case: Sixth accused held in Haryana

Synopsis : This is the sixth arrest in connection with the firing incident outside Salman Khan's apartment. The indictment will be presented in the MCOCA court of Mumbai on Tuesday.

In the rearmost development, Mumbai police arrested one more member of Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang on Tuesday. The planned firing incident took place on April 14 outside Salman Khan’s residence, which sent shockwaves around the Bandra area of Mumbai. However, assaulters snappily fled the scene.

Identification of assaulters

The indicted has been identified as Harpal Singh (37). As per police officials, “Harpal Singh’s information surfaced during the interrogation of another accused Mohammed Rafique Choudhary. He is a member of Lawrence Bishnoi gang, and was in direct contact with the alleged shooters – Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta”

Planning and Execution 

According to information, gangbanger Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother, Anmol Bishnoi, played a key role in motivating the shooters. Chaudhary from Rajasthan had done a recce of the actor’s apartment building, made a video and sent it to Anmol Bishnoi, reported ANI. 

The execution of the planned firing was as per instructions to which shooters received a total of Rs 3lakhs.

This is the sixth arrest in connection with the firing incident outside Salman Khan’s apartment. The indictment will be presented in the MCOCA court of Mumbai on Tuesday.

Earlier this month, one of the indicted Anuj Tapan, died by suicide, allegedly hanging himself with a bedsheet in the toilet.

Lawrence Bishnoi is currently lodged in the Sabarmati Central prison in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad and his brother Anmol Bishnoi, who is believed to be in the US or Canada, has been named in the firing case.
